Module 1: NLP Foundations (1) Overview
The NLP Practitioner series starts with the first module of the Foundations Programme, introducing the principles that underpin NLP, and the foundation skills and techniques.
Day 1 begins with a model for understanding perception, thinking, feeling and behaviour. It explains the selective and unique nature of our individual perception, and some of the differences between us as human beings. The interplay of thinking and feeling, and the impact on our behaviour is described, all with (at times comic) illustrations from everyday life.
Day 2 looks at the NLP approach to successful change, and introduces a framework for setting outcomes that are most likely to be achieved. A process for turning down negative emotion generated from memories, or imagination is explained, and demonstrated. The module ends with an explanation of rapport, and a simple technique to improve it, even in situations of difficulty.
